Student-directed play Defacing Michael Jackson to run Friday and Saturday in the Downstage Theatre

The SFA School of Theatre will present a student-directed production of Aurin Squires Defacing Michael Jackson at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, and at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Downstage Theatre of the Griffith Fine Arts Building on the SFA campus. The one-act play involves a group of young people in Opa-Locka, Fla., who are obsessed with Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. But their life is unexpectedly interrupted when a white family moves into the all-black neighborhood. As director Samuel Flash says, Its 1984 and times are changing!
